Week 6 of Summer

SUNDAY

We started the week out with a major sweet treat splurge and boy was it good. Spoonlicker's is one of our favorite desserts spots.

MONDAY

Joshua got his hair cut today and then we met a friend at the library. It was a really warm day, so we tried making candles out of crayons and melting them in the sun. It was a long process that started with peeling all the old crayons and picking out our favorite colors

Later that night we took Joshua to buy a Star Wars Battleship game. He saved for it and found it on Craigslist. He had to have it out of the box so he could listen to the sounds on the way home... that is until he fell asleep.

TUESDAY

Joshua met with his Spanish teacher again today and learned about the stars. We also continued to watch the candles... still not melted all the way.

Time for Taekwondo.

It was warm again, so Daniel and Joshua decided to have a squirt gun fight after dinner. Lots of laughs and giggles and a messy wet kid.

WEDNESDAY

Joshua had another play date with his good friend Daniel today. They kept busy.

Still watching and waiting...

More family fun after dinner. We all went on the Slip-n-Slide tonight, I'm just lucky to be the one taking the pictures. :0)

THURSDAY

Joshua went swimming at his friend Katherine's house today and then he played in the sprinklers after dinner. It's been a really hot week! So, the crayons are melting, but it looks like it's going to be a while before we can call them candles.

FRIDAY

Joshua practiced his Spanish spelling words today and go them all right! Then he went for a bike ride.

We took a break for some home made ice cream pops and then worked on another fun art project. We did the first part and will finish it up another day.

Joshua loves taking pictures and here's one he took of himself. :0) Then we had some fun together.

We surprised Joshua with a visit to the movie theatre tonight, for a showing of Turbo. It was a fun movie.

SATURDAY

Before Taekwondo class, Daniel and Joshua went out scouting fishing spots and then took me back later in the evening. I think we may come back here soon. :0)
