Week 5 of Summer

Star Wars Camp!

A friend of ours told us about a week long day camp that had a Star Wars theme and we couldn't pass it up. Joshua was so excited to go and with a friend too. I wish I could have stayed and taken more pictures, but from what I heard, it was an awesome time.

Joshua's group was the Dragonflies and each day they got to swim in the lake. That was a first for Joshua and he loved it. On Monday they also made paper maché balloon planets, built a droid and drank Yoda soda. On Tuesday they went kayaking, down a water slide in the lake, rode horses and tasted flowers in the garden. On Wednesday they played an all camp game called The Sith Wars, where Joshua was a bounty hunter. They also went on a pontoon boat and played with water toys. Thursday they built light sabers, did more arts and crafts and learned about nature. Friday was his last day and he got to make Tatooine Dough, play the Battle of Naboo, climb a rock wall and practice archery (both of which were other fun firsts). It was a fun full week and he's already looking forward to next year.

On Thursday night was family night, so Daniel and I got to go for dinner and then they had all kinds of things for us to choose from to do. They also had a little show at the end. It was a fun time for the kids and the parents.

Joshua told us one of his favorite games at camp was Ga Ga Ball, so he taught us how to play at home.

We finished the week off with dinner at the beach on Saturday. It was great.
